Privacy notice
What we collect when you order, make an account or join the newsletter, and what we do with it. In short: only what we need, and we never sell it.

Who we are
World Pizza runs two woodfired pizza vans, Margot and Bella, around Plymouth and Devon. The website and online ordering are run by World Pizza Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10460860). Registered office: Flat 20, 130–132 Vauxhall Street, Plymouth, PL4 0EP.
We decide how your details are used, so we’re the “controller” under UK data protection law. We’re registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO reference CSN4879049). Questions about your details: email info@worldpizza.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
When you order online
- Your name, email address and (if you give it) mobile number, your order, your collection time and which van.
- Why: to make your order, call your name at the hatch, send your receipt and order emails, and phone you if there’s a problem. The legal reason is that we need it to carry out your order (a contract).
- We also keep order records for our accounts, because the law requires it.
When you buy merch
- Your name, email address and postal address, and what you bought.
- Why: to get your order printed and posted to you, and to email your receipt and tracking. The legal reason is that we need it to carry out your order (a contract).
Paying
Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure page. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us whether the payment worked.
Your account (optional)
If you make an account, we keep your email, name, mobile number and your marketing choice, so we can fill in your details and show your past orders. You sign in with a code we email you; there’s no password. You can delete your account at any time on the account page.
Our newsletter (optional)
If you tick the box to hear from us, we send a monthly email with where the vans are and any news or offers. The legal reason is your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe on the account page or by emailing us.
“Want World Pizza in your area?”
If you tell us your town or area and your email, we use it to decide where to take the vans next, and (if you ticked the box) add you to the newsletter.
Enquiries
If you email or call about a wedding, party or work event, we use your details to reply and plan the event.
Who else handles your details
We use a few trusted companies to run the website. They only use your details to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: our database, stored in London.
- Stripe: card payments and refunds.
- Resend: sends our order emails and newsletter.
- Printify: prints and posts our merch. It gets your name, email and postal address, and passes them to the printer and the delivery company.
- Cloudflare: hosts the website and keeps it secure.
- Google Fonts: the website’s lettering, which your browser loads from Google.
Some of these companies are based in the USA. Where your details leave the UK, they are protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge.
We never sell your details, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
Cookies and storage on your device
We don’t use cookies for tracking or adverts. The order page saves your basket in your browser so it isn’t lost if you refresh, and the account page keeps you signed in. These are needed for the site to work, so we don’t ask first.
Counting visits
We count how many people visit the website and which pages they look at, so we know what’s useful. We do it ourselves, without cookies and without saving anything on your device. For each page we note the page, the website you came from (just its name, like google.com), whether you’re on a phone, tablet or computer, which of our own links or QR codes you used (if any, such as one on a flyer), and a code that tells one visitor from another for that day only. The code is made from your internet address and browser name mixed with a random key that’s thrown away at midnight. We never keep your internet address, and the code can’t be traced back to you or linked to another day. If your browser is set to ask sites not to track you (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control), we don’t count your visit at all.
How long we keep things
- Orders: 6 years, for our accounts and tax.
- Your account: until you delete it. Your past orders stay in our records for the 6 years above.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We keep a note that you unsubscribed, so we never email you again by mistake.
- Area requests: up to 2 years.
- Visit counts: 26 months. They hold nothing that identifies you.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your details, ask us to correct or delete them, object to how we use them, or ask us to stop using them. Email info@worldpizza.co.uk; we’ll reply within a month. Some records (like order records for tax) we have to keep even if you ask us to delete them.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your details, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
